How We Score
Every score on Real Human Reviews comes from the person who tested the product, and who used it for long enough to know it. Scores are out of 10, in steps of half a point.
What the scores mean
- 9 to 10: Buy it. One of the best you can get. Nothing important holds it back.
- 7 to 8.5: Recommended. A good buy, with caveats the review spells out.
- 5 to 6.5: Mixed. Right for some people. Read who it is for before you buy.
- 1 to 4.5: Skip it. There are better ways to spend your money.
What comes with a score
Alongside the score, a review can give a one-line verdict, who the product is best for and who should skip it, its pros and cons, how it was tested, which products it was compared with, and the date and price when it was scored. A product that scores 7 or more shows its score wherever it appears on the site.
Scores and prices
A score is for the product at the price it had when it was scored, which is shown beside the score. Prices change; scores only change when the product is tested again, and then the new date is shown.
What never changes a score
No shop or brand can pay for a score, and affiliate commissions never change one.
